We commit to understanding digital exclusion and how it impacts the people we work with.
As Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire, we will continue to work with local communities, volunteers, other third sector organisations and partners to understand the causes and impacts of digital exclusion across East Renfrewshire. We will actively listen to the experiences of residents and community organisations, gather evidence of local need, and use this insight to inform our services, networks and partnerships. Promoting awareness of digital inclusion within our organisation and advocating for its role in reducing inequality and improving wellbeing will be a key part of our work.
We commit to delivering on digital inclusion across our organisation, based on our understanding of need.
Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire recognises that digital inclusion is essential to reducing inequalities and strengthening community participation. We are currently working alongside other Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) across Scotland to develop and deliver a collaborative digital inclusion initiative that will strengthen our understanding of local need, identify effective approaches, and build capacity within the sector. Through this work, we will invest time and resources in exploring sustainable ways to support digital inclusion across East Renfrewshire. We will use learning from the initiative, along with feedback from local communities and partner organisations, to shape our future approach and embed digital inclusion more effectively into our services, networks and everyday practice.
We commit to identifying and utilising appropriate resources for digital inclusion.
We will help maximise access to digital devices, connectivity, skills training and support opportunities for individuals and community organisations. We will signpost people to relevant services, funding opportunities and learning resources, while working with partners to identify gaps in provision. We will use our knowledge, networks and community connections to help ensure that local people can access the resources they need to participate confidently in a digital society.
We commit to working in genuine partnership where we can, to promote and advance digital inclusion.
Collaboration is central to how we work. We will continue to support and strengthen partnerships that address digital exclusion across East Renfrewshire, including through local networks, community organisations, public sector partners and businesses. We will share learning, promote good practice and encourage coordinated action that delivers positive outcomes for residents. By working together, we can increase our collective impact and create more sustainable solutions to digital exclusion.
We commit to contributing towards a wider conversation, developing a sense of community and being part of something bigger - because digital inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
We will champion digital inclusion across the local third sector and contribute to national conversations on digital participation and inclusion. We will encourage the sharing of experiences, ideas and learning through our networks and partnerships, helping to build a stronger, more connected community of practice. By promoting collaboration, innovation and community-led solutions, we will support efforts to create a fairer and more digitally inclusive East Renfrewshire and Scotland.
