We commit to understanding digital exclusion and how it impacts the people we work with.
Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) understands the challenges that digital exclusion can create, and how these can further compound the exclusion experienced by ethnic minority communities. We commit to deepening this understanding and sharing it, where appropriate, with our partners to help reduce barriers to equality.
We commit to delivering on digital inclusion across our organisation, based on our understanding of need.
CSREC will embed digital inclusion within the organisation, ensuring that our staff, volunteers, and leadership have access to the training and development they need to prevent digital exclusion. We will develop a strategy to identify and deliver our digital priorities for both staff and clients making sure that access to digital skills growth and the opportunities created by this are not missed by any of our staff, partners, and clients.
We commit to identifying and utilising appropriate resources for digital inclusion.
CSREC will highlight and utilise resources both internally and externally to advance our digital strategy. This will be structured around key areas of delivery, with appropriate resources identified and used for each.
We commit to working in genuine partnership where we can, to promote and advance digital inclusion.
Central Scotland Regional Equality Council commits to working in partnership with staff, volunteers, clients, and external organisations to promote digital inclusion and support the development of digital skills across communities in Central Scotland.
We commit to contributing towards a wider conversation, developing a sense of community and being part of something bigger - because digital inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
CSREC recognises that digital inclusion is a community-wide issue, and that a collective approach is needed to address it. We commit to fostering, growing, and sustaining a community where digital inclusion is actively discussed and developed, improving outcomes and reducing barriers to equality.
