We commit to understanding digital exclusion and how it impacts the people we work with.
Partners in Advocacy (PiA) recognises that digital exclusion creates significant barriers to accessing services, opportunities, and support. To address this, we will:
Assess the digital skills and access challenges faced by the individuals we support, including those with additional support needs.
Conduct regular surveys and consultations to better understand the scope and impact of digital exclusion on the communities we serve.
Continuously educate ourselves and our teams on the evolving nature of digital barriers to ensure our approaches remain relevant and effective.
We commit to delivering on digital inclusion across our organisation, based on our understanding of need.
PiA will embed digital inclusion within our organisational practices by:
Ensuring staff have the training and tools to assist individuals with varying levels of digital literacy.
Reviewing our service delivery models to incorporate accessible digital options alongside face-to-face and traditional communication methods.
Developing tailored resources to support individuals in building digital confidence and navigating digital platforms critical to advocacy.
We commit to identifying and utilising appropriate resources for digital inclusion.
We will actively seek and utilise appropriate resources to advance digital inclusion, including:
Leveraging partnerships to access funding or equipment that supports digital skills development.
Sharing information about free or subsidised digital tools and training with those who might benefit.
Ensuring our own digital platforms and communication channels are accessible and inclusive.
We commit to working in genuine partnership where we can, to promote and advance digital inclusion.
PiA recognises that collaboration is key to addressing digital exclusion. We will:
Build partnerships with organisations experienced in tackling digital exclusion, including charities, public sector bodies, and private enterprises.
Share insights and strategies with other organisations to amplify efforts towards digital inclusion.
Advocate for joined-up approaches that reduce duplication and ensure efficient use of resources in this space.
We commit to contributing towards a wider conversation, developing a sense of community and being part of something bigger - because digital inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
