We commit to understanding digital exclusion and how it impacts the people we work with.
The library service works with people of all ages within the community. We keep abreast of reports and developments in the sector and remain aware that digital exclusion remains an issue.
We commit to delivering on digital inclusion across our organisation, based on our understanding of need.
Our staff focus primarily on supporting the public but are also involved in delivering digital awareness sessions across the organisation when required.
We commit to identifying and utilising appropriate resources for digital inclusion.
We seek funding to allow us to refresh our resources to better support our users.
We commit to working in genuine partnership where we can, to promote and advance digital inclusion.
Our local partnerships in this area include council services, voluntary action, Barrhead Housing Association and we will look to develop further partnership opportunities as they appear.
We commit to contributing towards a wider conversation, developing a sense of community and being part of something bigger - because digital inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
We work with colleagues across a number of partnerships to achieve this aim, and will contribute to wider discussions at meetings, conferences, etc.
