We commit to understanding digital exclusion and how it impacts the people we work with.
We work with our staff and service users to identify those who are digitally excluded. We provide one to one and small group support to older people, who are the most digitally excluded group, using the essential digital skills framework. We have also now embedded our digital support service within our HOPE in the community Project that provides support services for all over 50's resident in North Ayrshire.
We commit to delivering on digital inclusion across our organisation, based on our understanding of need.
We regularly review, monitor and evaluate the success of our digital inclusion service for older people and our service has developed and expanded over the past 7 years and now forms part of our HOPE in the community Project.
The CLASP organisation has now embedded digital inclusion into how we do our every day work.
We commit to identifying and utilising appropriate resources for digital inclusion.
The CLASP organisation is fortunate to have up to date technology and a reliable internet connection for staff.
Our digital support staff are suitably qualified and experienced in providing digital tuition to service users digitally excluded and also our volunteers who wish to learn digital skills and get online safely.
We commit to working in genuine partnership where we can, to promote and advance digital inclusion.
The CLASP Digital services actively engage with partners/referring agencies to promote the digital support services we offer to over 50's. We also share learning with other organisations and ensure we are not duplicating other similar services within our locality.
We commit to contributing towards a wider conversation, developing a sense of community and being part of something bigger - because digital inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
CLASP takes every opportunity available to promote and raise awareness of the digital support services we provide for over 50's and passionately advocate for digital inclusion. Due to limited resources and staff members, this can be limited but within the resources available we do all we can to promote digital inclusion across North Ayrshire.
